YES! We love our clients and we can't think of anything better than working for their friends and family. We also understand the value of a referral so we thank our current clients with a $100 credit towards any product or service after their referral completes a session at our regular rates.
We do offer a cd product that allows you to purchase all images from your session as well as your AaronVan Signature images on a disk. The images and your reproduction license will allow you to make individual prints at a maximum size of 4x6. The cost of this CD is $75. The images on this disk are the raw unedited images from your session corrected only for color and crop. AaronVan Signature Images are images from your session that have been fully edited and retouched. Any individual image purchased from your session is given the AaronVan Signature treatment before being printed.
Reproduction rights and cd's are one of the biggest questions going around these days and one that I get a lot. With the advancements in digital photography and photo processing it can often be difficult to understand all of the details. The short of it is that there are two levels of both photography and photo processing, consumer and professional. The easiest way to explain the difference is, "You get what you pay for." Isn't it always true? you wanted the BMW but you got the Kia that looked pretty close, well, looks can be deciving and there are so many components that make a BMW a far superior product, but at a price. The same holds true with photography. AaronVan photography uses professional resources across the board because we provide a professional service. There is no shortcut to offering great photographs. When you use our service you are paying for two things. First off you are paying for the artistic work of the photographer. The second part is the equipment, time, knowledge, overhead, insurance, staff, etc, etc, etc, that is involved with making your photographs. Given all of those details you may now understand why we do not release the rights or original digital negatives of images we work hard to capture. We are a service from start to finish and our job does not stop at taking the images. Post production, printing, framing, mounting, ensuring the quality of the work, etc, etc, etc. Trust me you really do not want to do all of that yourself if you want a quality product.
You may now ask, "Well why do so many others offer a cd and reproduction rights?" The simplest answer to this is sales and competition. Because of the technology it is now easy for most anyone to pick up a prosumer camera, throw it on auto and take a few decent pictures without much education in photography. Original images are an easy way to add value to their service. What we request of you is to ask yourself if a disk of images is what you are looking for and if the answer is yes then we may not be the right fit for your needs.
